In anticipation of the fourteenth and final installment in the epic Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, Macmillan Audio has created custom Wheel of Time covers for the iPhone*.

The A Memory of Light audiobook goes on sale the same day as the hardcover (January 8th, 2013) and will of course be narrated by Kate Reading and Michael Kramer, who have voiced the entire series. While January is still far away for fans that have been anxiously awaiting this conclusion, Macmillan Audio wants to reward you for ordering early. The first 2,000 people who preorder the audiobook edition of A Memory of Light on CD between 8/31/12 and 12/7/12 will receive the phone cover. The highly anticipated finale to the story started in Robert Charles Wilson’s Spin is here. In Vortex, the mysteries of the Hypotheticals are finally revealed.

Acclaimed narrator Scott Brick is the voice of the series on audiobook… and also a big fan. He eagerly awaited the conclusion to the trilogy just like the rest of us, and now that it’s here he says, “I still can’t quite believe how amazing it is, I’m still in awe of the ending. Getting to work on science fiction this good, so consistently good throughout the entire trilogy, is extraordinary.”

Tor.com recently featured an excerpt of The Quantum Thief by Rajaniemi Hannu, but it”s always nice to experience content in a new way. Enter the audiobook!

Narrator Scott Brick reads the audio edition and he”s got nothing but good things to say about The Quantum Thief. (I believe his exact words were “freaking brilliant.”) Asked for a more formal opinion, Brick responded with “I”ve been blessed to narrate many of the best science fiction books of all time, but the moment I finished The Quantum Thief I had to ask myself, Might this be the best one, ever?”
