Erewhon Books will publish three new adult books from august clarke, author of The Scapegracers trilogy.
The first of these is slated for Fall 2024 and is entitled Metal From Heaven. For fans of Arcane: League of Legends with a Count of Monte Cristo revenge twist, clarke’s adult debut novel is an elaborately-plotted political fantasy set in a glittering world transformed by industrial change—and simmering class warfare—as a besieged young woman seeks justice against the wealthy mining empire who murdered her family.
The second, slated for Spring of 2026, is entitled The Felicity Complex. A dual-timeline horror novel laced with humor, this novel follows a ragtag team of genetically engineered hospitality workers who have spent the last century under the impression they were the only people on the planet left alive. When guests suddenly arrive who feel entitled to not only their labor, but their organs, the staff of The Felicity Complex decide to take matters into their own hands, (and pick them out from between their teeth.)
The third is yet to be announced, but we know it will be brilliant and twisted and everything in-between. august clarke is a true talent, praised by the likes of Sarah Gailey, Chana Porter, Shveta Thakrar, and more, and their Scapegracers Trilogy was only the beginning of a long, illustrious career that Erewhon Books is immensely proud to support for a very long time to come.
