Who’s the Giles now? According to Sarah Michelle Gellar, she is! The Buffy actor is returning to supernatural television next year in the series Wolf Pack, and she’s shared some details about what her character—arson investigator Kristin Ramsey—is all about.
In an interview with Den of Geek, Gellar admitted she could share “very little” about playing Ramsey. “I’m the mystery,” she explained. “I can tell you a lot about each of the other characters, but I’m the one that you’re like, ‘What?’ It just seems like I’m all business, and I have a mission, and I’m on it.”
She did, however, concede when asked if she were more like the Giles of the show. “I’m the Giles,” she agreed. “A little bit different, but yes, and definitely behind the scenes, I’m the Giles. I’ve gone through so much, and you hope that the younger age groups you work with are open to hearing and learning. And this group is just that. It’s like they’re sponges, and they listen.”
Wolf Pack comes from Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis, but is much darker fare—more of a horror series than anything else. Here’s the show’s official synopsis:
Based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, Wolf Pack follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills. Wounded in the chaos, the boy and girl are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two other teenagers who were adopted 16 years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire. As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them — the bite and blood of a werewolf.
Gellar along with Rodrigo Santoro (Westworld) play the two main adults in the series, with Santoro playing a park ranger who is the adoptive father of two of the teens. It also stars Armani Jackson, Bella Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson and Tyler Lawrence Gray as the four kids in question.
