We Have Unofficial Claims From Verifiable People That Moon Knight and Eternals Will Get Sequels

Marvel is notoriously tight-lipped about revealing its slate of movies and Disney+ shows. Two MCU actors, however — Oscar Isaac and Patton Oswalt — have let it slip that there will be a Season Two of Moon Knight and that there’s an Eternals 2 in the works with Chloe Zhao back again as director.

I want to make clear that both of these claims from the respective actors are far from confirmed. Maybe they’re just messing with us! Or, in Oswalt’s case, just got his wires crossed about he thought he heard Marvel announce at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

On the Moon Knight front, Isaac and Season One director Mohamed Diab appear to be purposefully messing with fans. In a TikTok that appears to be made by a girl who has a family relationship with Diab, Isaac and the director respond in fake confusion about there being a second season of the show. “Why else would we be in Cairo?,” a bearded Isaac answered before making a goofy face.

Why else would they be in Cairo indeed?

On the Eternals front, Oswalt was recently on The Today Show, where Al Roker asked him about whether he’d be back in the MCU as the Pip the Troll, who we saw in a post-credit scene from that movie. Oswalt responds that “they’ve announced there’s going to be an Eternals sequel — Chloe Zhao is going to direct it. So hopefully there will be more adventures of Starfox [played by Harry Styles] and Pip.”

Oswalt’s statement is again far from official confirmation, but he’s one of the few people who may have insider information on where Pip the Troll may show up in the MCU again.

Whether either of these claims turns out to be true, however, remains to be seen. In the meantime, we can watch Eternals and the first season of Moon Knight on Disney+.
