We’re one step closer to an actual release date: At today’s Comic-Con@Home panel, Wheel of Time showrunner Rafe Judkins revealed the series will debut in November. So mark your whole November calendar, I guess? Just write WHEEL OF TIME over the whole thing.

Amazon also released a first poster for the series, showing Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) standing in a Waygate.

Here is the poster revealed at the panel!

The Wheel of Time, based on Robert Jordan’s fourteen-novel series, has already been renewed for a second season, though we’ve not seen so much as a trailer for season one. Okay, we’ve seen a lot of peeks: a glimpse of Daniel Henney as al’Lan Mandragoran; five seconds of Pike as MoiraineMat’s dagger, the Heron Blade, a snippet of the score, and a look at the set. But that doesn’t add up to a lot. Judkins has said that a trailer is coming “by the end of the summer,” so within a month and change we should have a lot more to talk about.

This adaptation has been in the works since 2017; like so many things, it was delayed by the pandemic. The first season will be eight episodes, and most—though not all!—of those titles have been revealed. The show’s sprawling cast includes Josha Stradowski (playing Rand al’Thor); Marcus Rutherford (Perrin Aybara); Barney Harris (Matrim Cauthon); Zoë Robins (Nynaeve al’Meara); Madeleine Madden (Egwene al’Vere); Alexandre Willaume (Thom Merrilin); Hammed Animashaun (Loial); and many, many more.
