In the newest teaser trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road, everything is fire and blood and steering-wheel-worshipping cults and skull grills and beautifully shifting sands and human figureheads and giant drum solos and fireworks and explosions and…
You know, you should just watch it.
This teaser is a bit more poetic than the first look from San Diego Comic-Con, with Charlize Theron giving a lovely, fierce monologue about staying alive in the post-apocalyptic desert (but then also silent screaming in the sands). Then you have Nicholas Hoult cackling “What a lovely day!” and everyone crashing their trucks into other trucks like the most insane game of bumper cars.
Yeah, it’s getting real. Here’s everything you need to know about Mad Max: Fury Road, which comes to theaters May 15, 2015.
