Pixar’s Toy Story that Time Forgot Reveals Airdate and New Characters at San Diego Comic-Con!

Pixar’s Toy Story that Time Forgot has announced an airdate! The special will air on ABC on December 2nd. Composer Michael Giacchino (he won the Oscar for Up!) moderated a panel at 2014 San Diego Comic Con with Kevin McKidd, who voices Reptillus Maximus, Kristen Schall, the voice of Trixie the dinosaur, director Steve Purcell, executive producer Galyn Susman, and Derek Thompson, the head of story.

The panel introduced the audience to the new stars of the special called the “Battlesaurs,” which are apparently dino/Transformer hybrid, with just a light dusting of…Skeksis? Merry Christmas, everybody! Joan Cusack will play Angel Kitty, a new character that threatens to stretch our tolerance for adorability, and another character, Goliathon, is a “tribute to Godzilla” according to Twitterer and attendee MouseInfo. Kristen Schaal will be the voice of Trixie The Dinosaur, who is wearing battle armor as seen above in a photo from StitchKingdom. Does this mean that Rex’s yearly Christmas wish for another dinosaur is finally coming true? Mike Mignola’s poster for this holiday bonanza is a glory to behold, and it seems like we’re in for an interesting mix of new characters that range from painfully cute to surprisingly badass!
