Neil Gaiman has revealed the cover to his forthcoming children’s book Fortunately, the Milk, out on September 17 from HarperCollins Children’s Book.
The book, illustrated by Skottie Young (click the cover to see the large version!) has been described as “an ode to the pleasure and wonders of storytelling itself.” The project was originally pitched to Dave McKean, and envisioned as a much smaller picture book.
Fortunately, the Milk is part of a five-book contract that Gaiman signed with HarperCollins Children’s Books last year, which includes the recently released Chu’s Day, a sequel to that, Fortunately, the Milk, a sequel to Odd and the Frost Giants and an as yet unrevealed title.
