Variety is reporting that the forthcoming movie adaptation of John Scalzi’s Old Man’s War has hired a new writer to draft the screenplay. Playwright Chris Boal will take over from David Self (Road to Perdition). Boal is a newcome to Hollywood but recently sold two movie pitches, one concerning Vikings and the other Julius Caeser, based off of his play 23 Knives, which centered around the autopsy of Caeser.
