New Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Trailer

Disney has released a new trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the twelfth fourth and latest installment of the series.

One gets a more coherent sense of the story from the newest trailer, with nary a Bloom or Knightley in sight. Here’s hoping that the directorial seat change to Rob Marshall from Gore Verbinski also results in the return of the first film’s humor and clarity of story. (It would be a shame to waste Ian-McShane-as-Blackbeard in a crummy movie.)

Stubby the Rocket is the mascot and somewhat random voice for the staff and fears a post-credits scene of Jack walking through present day Times Square.
