Osgood Perkins’ horror movie Longlegs has yet to come out in theaters (and has yet, via its marketing materials, to explain what the movie is about, other than it is terrifyingly creepy and stars Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage). That hasn’t stopped the director, however, from moving forward on his next genre project.

Deadline announced today that his next movie is titled Keeper and will star She-Hulk and Orphan Black actor Tatiana Maslany (pictured above) as well as Rossif Sutherland (Possessor). The movie’s script was written by Nick Lepard, and Neon has acquired the rights.

Here’s the synopsis of the film, per Deadline:

Keeper follows a couple as they escape for a romantic anniversary weekend at a secluded cabin. When Malcolm (Sutherland) suddenly returns to the city, Liz (Maslany) finds herself isolated and in the presence of an unspeakable evil that unveils the cabin’s horrifying secrets.

That sentence gives us far more information about what Osgood’s next film is about than what we know about Longlegs, which is set to come out in theatres on July 12, 2024.

No news yet on when Keeper will go into production, much less scare its way onto a screen near you. But based on the buzz around Longlegs and the talent attached to Keeper, Perkins’ second film will likely be a movie worth watching. icon-paragraph-end
