If the official release date is May 14th, will the book already be available for purchase at the earlier events?

FYI, the web page for Phoenix Comicon is http://www.phoenixcomicon.com (Not sure why they linked to a Star Wars messge base post about it). Lots of other authors (including about a half dozen other Tor authors), a Babylon 5 20th Anniversary Reunion, and some other special stuff not yet announced is in the works.

Just checking... The Atlanta date is Saturday, May 30th, which doesn't jibe with the calendar's Thursday, May 30th. I'm hoping it's on Saturday. The bookstore's website doesn't have the Scalzi visit listed yet.

Khryss, Scalzi's website says this right after the listing for the earlier events:
(All the dates above are before the official release date, so hardcovers will not be officially available yet. However, I will be happy to sign your eReaders with the episodes on them, as well as any other books of mine you have.)
He also goes into more detail about why and where and if other cities might be added.
