Brandon Sanderson on Tour for The Rithmatist

The Rithmatist Brandon Sanderson tourMore than anything, Joel wants to be a Rithmatist. Chosen by the Master in a mysterious inception ceremony, Rithmatists have the power to infuse life into two-dimensional figures known as Chalklings. Rithmatists are humanity’s only defense against the Wild Chalklings—merciless creatures that leave mangled corpses in their wake. Having nearly overrun the territory of Nebrask, the Wild Chalklings now threaten all of the American Isles....

And so begins The Rithmatist, Brandon Sanderson’s new young adult fantasy book, out on May 14th from Tor Books. Read a free excerpt from the novel, pre-order the book from your favorite retailer, and catch Brandon on tour throughout the U.S. in the latter half of May!

Hey! Is that a Houston stop I see? And west Houston, no less. I'd be even happier if it got moved a little more west to Katy, but good enough. I'll be there.

I know the missus has no interest in going, so the question is if I can find anybody dorky enough to want to go with me. It took 7 months, but I found my first board game playing friend. I've got two more to find someone who likes fantasy...

Rancho, I'm supposed to be moving back to Houston sometime this year...sadly, don't think I'll be there by May. So no Brandon for me!!

Alex: Tor doesn't publish the UK version. Brandon will probably be in the UK around November.

To those people living in Denver, looks like Brandon will be at the Highlands Ranch Tattered Cover location. (Peter, you can feel free to confirm or deny this detail)

You know, Las Vegas is a nice place to visit where the locals do not live in hotels or hang out at the strip- i haven't been down there in four years- so i really think that Vegas should be added...
If we miss the rithmatist than there could always be a stop planned for stormlight bk 2...

Don: Omaha is in the Midwest, according to the US Census Bureau.

Cory: At least one Utah stop will come right after the announced dates.

I want to decorate my fifth grade math classroom to fit this theme... Any ideas or leads on where I might find materials?
