Doctor Who Season 7 Trailer is Here!

It’s got Daleks, dinosaurs, a reference to a character we haven’t seen in awhile, and Amy wearing more black eyeliner than she used to. How great does this look? Stubby the Rocket couldn’t ask for a better birthday present!

It looks better than Series 6 (which I found only 3 or 4 episodes worth re-watching).

But it doesn't look like the Doctor is getting any smaller, like he said at the end of The Wedding of River Song...

Seriously. That is an un-small series of adventures.

That trailer was the best. It gave me the same thrill that the trailers for Season 4 did all those years ago. That kind of, "The episodes can't possibly be this entertaining." Except they were.

I guess that techincally he can pass himself off as his earlier self still, and he won't really have to start getting 'smaller' until his next regeneration...

So...the main advertising image for this season (featured above and at the end of the trailer) features Amy as a limp damsel-in-distress? Ick. Dinosaurs or no, my excitement level just dropped a few notches.

@SKM -- really? Because I think the Doctor's look means the answer to "Who killed all the Daleks?" is Amy.

I feel like four and a half decades have melted away, and I am once again a twelve year old boy. Can't wait for this season to start!
(Although I agree that standing in the midst of a giant stadium with one's arms outstretched is an odd choice for a man who is trying to stay behind the scenes.)

@KestrelHill -- I'm not getting that from his look at all, especially in the image at the end of the trailer which features the same pose but zero Daleks. Even if you're right, Rose already did that (standing up, I might add), and I'm no more interested in retreads than I am in damsels-in-distress.

That image isn't Damsel in Distress. It's Fallen Hero.

@ChrisD -- It's the image used in comic books when some tragically tormented hero's girlfriend ends up "refrigerated."

Yeah, not very heroic.

I'm still excited for this series, but that promo image is questionable. Nor am I the only one to remark on it.

You just have to laugh at people passing judgement before they have even seen one of these new episodes. Guess they never heard the old adage never judge a book by its cover...
