The Doctor’s Next Companion is... You? Doctor Who: Worlds In Time

A flash-based browser game called Doctor Who: Worlds In Time has just gone live in preview form. The online MMO allows you to take on the role of a companion of the Doctor in a quest to recover “lost shards of time.” Your avatar is customizable and you even get your own sonic screwdriver and customizable room on the TARDIS! The full game will be available in March but you can test-drive it now on the Doctor Who:Worlds In Time website. (Or watch the trailer above for some idea of gameplay.)

Blech. It looks like a combination of Doctor Who and FarmVille.

Keep in mind that it's in open beta right now - I believe the official launch is supposed to be in March. It should be a lot more fun once they've more thoroughly integrated the social/party aspects of gameplay.

I'm personally quite thrilled to see OOO doing another puzzle-focused game.
