When Harry Left Hogwarts Poised to be the Best Fantasy Documentary Ever

(Yeah, we’re being a bit hyperbolic in that title.) When Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes on DVD and Blu-Ray, the special four-disc set will contain a documentary called When Harry Left Hogwarts, a behind-the-scenes film on the making of the final Potter-movie and what it meant for all the people involved. But, judging from this trailer, this doesn’t look to be a run-of-the-mill feel-good documentary, but rather a raw and honest account of who all these people both in reality and in contrast to the zeitgest that has created them. Directed by BAFTA-Award Winning docmentary filmmaker Morgan Matthews, this 48-minute film looks to be worth the price of the DVD/Blu-Ray alone. If you don’t believe us, check out the trailer above.

According to Bleeding Cool, this documentary will only be available as part of a four-disc Target exclusive. The DVD/Blu-Ray releases on November 11th.

Awesome, I will totally buy this just for that documentary alone, quite right!

Oh, God. I'm getting upset just looking at it. Still haven't adjusted to the fact that it's all over basically! I grew up with the books and then the movies.
Still, this looks awesome. Definitely worth watching. I can't see it staying stuck as an extra for the DVD indefinitely though. There's definitely money in broadcasting it on TV somewhere down the track. I'm gonna pick this up in any case, haha.
