Exploring a Haunted Spaceship in The Ghost Line by Andrew Neil Gray and J.S. Herbison

I’m pleased to announce the acquisition of The Ghost Line, the debut collaborative novella from the writing team of Andrew Neil Gray and J.S. Herbison.

The Ghost Line is a haunting work of science fiction in which a team of space scavengers explore a decommissioned luxury spaceship. The ship promises vast riches to those who can claim it, but conceals a lurking threat that could change the scavengers’ lives forever. The Ghost Line was acquired during Tor.com Publishing’s recent open submissions period. I’m excited to be working with Gray and Herbison on their atmospheric and thought-provoking debut!

Andrew Neil Gray and J.S. Herbison are partners in life as well as in writing. The Ghost Line is their first fiction collaboration, but won’t be their last: a novel is also in the works. They have also collaborated in the creation of two humans and preside over a small empire of chickens, raspberries and dandelions on Canada’s West Coast. You can find Andrew Neil Gray at http://andrewneilgray.com and @andrewneilgray on Twitter. You can find J.S. Herbison at http://jsherbison.com They had this to say about the sale:

Both of us spent our youths plundering the Science Fiction & Fantasy sections of our respective local libraries and eventually using them up. All the while the Tor logo loomed in our imaginations as the home of some of the best. When we started this novella, Tor and their brilliant new novella program were always lurking in the back of our minds: the promised land. Did we ever think we’d get there? Let’s just say we had to pinch ourselves more than a few times when we sold The Ghost Line. We’re very much looking forward to being in such amazing company.

Look forward to The Ghost Line publishing in mid-2017.
