This Kraken Is Made Entirely Out of Money

The above collage of a kraken is made entirely out of cut up American currency, reconfigured into illustrations by artist Chad Person as part of his “TaxCut” series. (The money used is itself deducted as a tax expense.)

The series is part of a larger artistic direction/lifestyle choice that Person is focused on, as previous to this he spent years constructing a sculptural apocalypse-ready survival shelter to survive the “collapse of civilization” dubbed the Resource Exhaustion Crisis Evacuation Safety Shelter. (i.e. RECESS). You can read more about both projects on his site.

Stubby the Rocket is the mascot of Tor.com and should figure out what its acronym means one of these days.
