Ahhhh! The yet-to-be-titled monster movie at Universal Pictures from Radio Silence, the group behind Scream VI, is shaping up with an impressive cast on board.

The monster flick will be directed by Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The movie, according to Universal, is standalone and will be director-led, meaning that the creative team has access to Universal’s classic monster horror line-up (think Frankenstein, the Mummy, and Dracula) and can pitch the studio their potential take on bringing one or more of these creatures back to the big screen.

While we still don’t know much about Radio Silence’s take (we don’t even have a title yet!), we do know that Scream star Melissa Barrera will be in the film along with the young Alisha Weir (Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical). Today, one more name was added to the monster roster: Deadline reports that Dan Stevens (pictured above in FX’s Legion; he also played the titular beast in Disney’s 2017 live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast) will co-star against Barrera.

Who Stevens, Barrera and Weir will play remains a mystery. A script exists, however, and it’s penned by Stephen Shields, with revisions by Guy Busick. Producers include Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett, as well as Chad Villella from Radio Silence and William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, and James Vanderbilt from Project X Entertainment.

No news yet on when the movie will come out, but given that the cast is getting nailed down, it will likely go into production sooner rather than later (pending the writers’ strike, of course).
