Guardians, Transformers, and Indy, Oh My! More Trailers From the Super Bowl

I have it on good authority that the sports game last night was a great one to watch. I also have it on good authority that there were a whole bunch of trailers during commercial breaks that celebrated the Super Bowl occasion (or in many cases, before the event as well). Here are some additional trailers viewers were treated to last night.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

The Marvel Cinematic Universe can’t stop and won’t stop. While their latest movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, comes out this Friday, that’s not preventing Marvel from promoting the last Guardians film in the trailer above. In it, we see the usual gang, but also glimpses of Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), and High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji).

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

In Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 comes out in theaters on May 5, 2023. I’ve also included a poster at the end of this post for your viewing enjoyment.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones is definitely older, but he still has no trouble hating Nazis and jumping out of a plane with Phoebe Waller-Bridge. What I’ve seen so far of Dial of Destiny gives me high hopes for the film, and I’m eager to see the whole thing once it finally makes it to theaters.

The fifth Indiana Jones movie swings its way into theaters on June 30, 2023.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

This thirty-second spot for the upcoming Transformers film is also brought to you by Porsche! It features Mirage, a transformer whose car version of himself is a Porsche (hence the tie-in here), and is able to duplicate images of himself in high-speed chases. The spot comes after a trailer highlighting the Maximals (a.k.a. Transformers who transform into robot animals instead of cars), and gives us a glimpse at the lighter side of Rise of the Beasts.

Here’s the movie’s synopsis:

Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons.

Rise of the Beasts is directed by Steven Caple Jr. and stars Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback. It also stars Tobe Nwigwe, Peter Cullen, Ron Perlman, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, Liza Koshy, John DiMaggio, David Sobolov, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Pete Davidson, and Cristo Fernández.

The film roars its way into theaters on June 9, 2023.

And, as promised, here is the new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 poster:
