“Welcome to Godolkin University. It’s a safe space for you to thrive,” says the first teaser for Gen V, the upcoming spinoff of Amazon’s The Boys. Totally safe, yeah. There are no guts being washed down drains or blood on the walls or anything like that, nosirree.

The brief summary gets right to the point:

Set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s top ranking.

This does not address the puppets, though. The puppets that seem to have bones and guts. I guess it was time someone one-upped Angel’s puppet episode?

The cast included Chance Perdomo, who was absolutely wonderful as Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Ambrose, along with Clancy Brown, Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, Marco Pigossi, Alexander Calvert, and Jason Ritter. The Boys stars Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne also appear in the teaser.

This spinoff comes from showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, who were both executive producers on Agent Carter.

School is in session for Gen V sometime next year.
