New Indiana Jones trailer klaxon! Indy’s back in a new adventure called Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny—which could mean any number of things!

Coming along for the ride are a few new villains, at least one old friend, and a new character in the form of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Helena. It looks like maybe she’ll be handing any action sequences Harrison Ford declines.

The teaser opens with Indy intoning that he doesn’t believe in magic and just as I was about to say “Sir, you drank from the Holy Grail,” he muses on the nature of belief and rides a horse through the New York subway system and I shut my punk mouth.

The fifth Indy film was directed by James Mangold, who co-wrote the script with Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth, but the usual team is still onboard, with Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel producing, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers, and John Williams returning to compose the score. In addition to Waller-Bridge, the cast includes John Rhys-Davies, Antonio Banderas, Boyd Holbrook, Mads Mikkelsen, Toby Jones, and Shaunette Renee Wilson.

Here’s a craggy, grizzled poster:

Look I would be lying if I didn’t cop to groaning aloud when I heard they were doing another Indiana Jones movie. But I would also be lying if I denied that I grinned uncontrollably when that theme song swelled. He rides a horse through the New York subway, OK?

They re-visit the whip gag. Again.

I’m in, I’m always in.

Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny will slide under a crashing stone door and somersault into theaters June 30, 2023!
