The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Soundtrack Is Available for All Ears — Elven and Otherwise — To Listen To

We still got a few weeks before The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power premieres on Prime Video. While we wait, however, we can listen to the sweet tunes of Middle-earth.

Composer Bear McCreary, who has also written the score for shows like Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, and Foundation, is behind the score for the television adaptation of Tolkien’s work.

“J.R.R. Tolkien’s stunning novels and their film adaptations have had a profound impact on my imagination for nearly my entire life,” McCreary said in a statement. “I am honored to compose the music that will help guide audiences through the major events of the Second Age of Middle-earth.”

The Rings of Power soundtrack also has an homage to the score from Peter Jackson’s trilogy, with Howard Shore — a three-time Academy Award winner who worked on Jackson’s trilogy — back to compose the main title for the Prime Video show.

The score is available on all streaming services, though Amazon Music listeners will have two additional songs to enjoy: “Find the Light” and “The Promised King.” You can click here to listen on Amazon, buy a vinyl or CD version from Mondo here, or purchase an exclusive Amazon vinyl here.
