Owen Wilson is dipping his toe further into the superhero world (after his role in the Marvel Disney+ series Loki) by starring in the family-friendly action film Secret Headquarters. Curious what the flick is about? Check out the trailer above.

Paramount Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films are the studios behind Secret Headquarters, which sees Wilson playing a superhero with similarities to Iron Man get help from a set of kids (including his son) played by Walker Scobell (The Adam Project), Jesse Williams (Take Me Out), Keith L. Williams (Good Boys), Momona Tamada (The Baby-Sitters Club), Abby James Witherspoon (Hot Pursuit), Kezii Curtis (Charm City Kings) and adult bad guy, Michael Peña (Ant-Man).

Here’s the movie’s logline:

While hanging out after school, Charlie and his friends discover the headquarters of the world’s most powerful superhero hidden beneath his home. When villains attack, they must team up to defend the headquarters and save the world.

Directing duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (Project Power, Nerve, Catfish) helmed Secret Headquarters, with the story coming from Christopher Yost (Thor: Ragnarok) and the screenplay co-written by Christopher Yost, Josh Koenigsberg, Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman. The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman, and executive produced by Scott Lumpkin and Orlee-Rose Strauss.

Secret Headquarters will premiere on Paramount+ on Friday, August 12, 2022.
