Do you enjoy watching horror films that revolve around exorcisms and also have clever puns for titles? If so, then Lionsgate and Gold Circle Entertainment have a movie called Prey for the Devil coming out this October that will be right up your alley. They came out with an absolutely horrifying trailer today to give us a taste of what the movie’s all about (spoiler: it’s about exorcisms and the devil), which I have watched and will now undoubtedly have nightmares about tonight.

Yes, Prey for the Devil, is about exorcisms, but this movie focuses on the journey of one young woman who appears to have faced the same demon possessing multiple people in her life, starting with her mother.

Intrigued? Here’s the movie’s terrifying synopsis:

In response to a global rise in demonic possessions, the Catholic Church reopens exorcism schools to train priests in the Rite of Exorcism. On this spiritual battlefield, an unlikely warrior rises: a young nun, Sister Ann (Jacqueline Byers). Although nuns are forbidden to perform exorcisms, a professor (Colin Salmon) recognizes Sister Ann’s gifts and agrees to train her. Thrust onto the spiritual frontline with fellow student Father Dante (Christian Navarro), Sister Ann finds herself in a battle for the soul of a young girl (who Sister Ann believes is possessed by the same demon that tormented her own mother years ago), and soon realizes the Devil has her right where he wants her….and it wants in.

This sounds like it’ll sure be a pleasant and relaxing movie! Almost as relaxing as this poster for it, I’d wager:

Prey for the Devil will start possessing theaters on October 28. In addition to Byers, Salmon, and Navarro it stars Nicholas Ralph, Ben Cross, and Virginia Madsen.
