There Are Too Many Siblings and Not Enough Timeline in Umbrella Academy 3 Trailer

The Umbrella Academy’s third season is just over a month away from dropping on Netflix, and we’ve got a new trailer that reveals that the Hargreeves have once again managed to do something that will result in the end of the world.

The end of season two saw the Umbrella kids jumping back to their contemporary time after spending time in the 1960s. The time jump, however, created a time paradox. That paradox, according to Five, “brought forth the freaking Kugelblitz.”

What’s a Kugelblitz, you ask? Apparently it’s something that decimates existence. We see it in action in the trailer when it sadly dissolves a poor pupper into nothing. It looks like the Umbrella Academy folks have to save reality again, and this time they also have the Sparrow Academy to deal with, the superpowered children that Reginald Hargreeves ended up adopting after he had a run-in with the Umbrella kids in the ‘60s and, frankly, didn’t like them.

The Umbrella Academy stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin H. Min as the Umbrella Academy (though the version of Min in season three is a Sparrow), and Colm Feore as Daddy Hargreeves. Season three also stars Ritu Arya as Lila and introduces us to the Sparrows played by Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, Cazzie David, Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton, and Jordan Claire Robbins.

Season three of The Umbrella Academy premieres on Netflix on Wednesday, June 22.
