The third season of The Boys is almost here, and Prime Video released a very NSFW trailer to celebrate the occasion.

The trailer, which you can watch above if you’re somewhere small children and/or your boss is not, reveals several things. First off, Homelander (Antony Starr) is apparently losing it and becoming more unhinged and murderous than usual. It also gives us a look at a very bearded Jensen Ackles, who is playing the very messed-up take on Captain America, Soldier Boy.

These two, along with many other characters are also shown killing a bunch of people in various violent and bloody ways. Not least of them is Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher, who gets his hands on a serum that will give him superpowers for 24 hours. Surprising no one, Billy subsequently gets very homicidal, very quickly.

Here’s the third season’s official synopsis, which sheds more light on what supes and non-supes alike will face in the upcoming episodes.

It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into The Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.

Sounds like a fun time! Amazon also released a new poster for the season, which you can take a look at below. The Boys Season Three premieres on Prime Video on June 3, 2022.
