Check Out Grogu Jammin’ With Robert Rodriguez on The Book of Boba Fett Set

Happy May the 4th! In addition to an exciting new trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi, we also get to enjoy a little video of Grogu rocking out on a guitar with The Book of Boba Fett director Robert Rodriguez.

There’s a lot of Star Wars promotion going on today (did you know, for example, that Frosted Flakes is coming out with an Obi-Wan Kenobi-themed cereal?), but the one that caught my eye was seeing little Baby Yoda (erm, Grogu) playing a teeny tiny guitar.

Check it out below:

At first I was resistant to seeing Grogu’s puppeteers (let me keep the illusion alive!) but they are so skillful that they faded into the background and gave Grogu such vibrancy as he shredded on his lil’ guitar. I didn’t think it was possible, but I now love Grogu even more.

This scene is in Disney+’s behind-the-scenes documentary, Disney Gallery – The Book of Boba Fett, which just got released on the streaming platform today. Here’s a trailer for the full feature, which sadly doesn’t include any images of Grogu giving us his stinky face.

The Book of Boba Fett doc is just one item Disney/Lucasfilm is promoting today. There’s also the upcoming Disney+ series Light & Magic that has Lawrence Kasdan taking us behind the curtains on how the folks at Industrial Light & Magic create their special visual effects. That six-parter premieres on July 27. Here are some photos from that as well as an image of that Obi-Wan Kenobi Frosted Flakes box (which also becomes available in July), because you deserve to see a picture of Tony the Tiger wielding a lightsaber.
