There’s a new vampire series in the works. Reginald the Vampire is based on author Johnny B. Truant’s Fat Vampire books and stars Spider-Man: No Way Home’s Jacob Batalon, who plays Peter Parker’s best bud in the MCU, Ned Leeds.

According to Variety, the comedy drama will also land on Hulu in the U.S. after its initial run on the SYFY network. Amazon has picked up rights to the show for streaming in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Cineflix will also be shopping the series’ other international rights next month.

Want to know what Reginald the Vampire is all about? Here’s the official synopsis for the show:

Imagine a world populated by beautiful, fit and vain vampires. Reginald tumbles headlong into it as an unlikely hero who will have to navigate every kind of obstacle–the girl he loves but can’t be with, a bully manager at work and the vampire chieftain who wants him dead. Fortunately, Reginald discovers he has a few unrecognized powers of his own. A new show with a lot of heart and just enough blood, Reginald the Vampire proves the undead life is just as complicated as life itself.

“The fact that Reginald’s grand, weird and wonderful adventures will be brought to the world through our first-class creative talent and cast, and now, these top-notch platform and distribution partners, is incredibly exciting,” said showrunner Harley Peyton, whose previous credits include SYFY’s recent Chucky series and 1990’s Twin Peaks. “Reginald the Vampire is the infusion of fresh blood this genre’s been waiting for.”

We don’t have an official release date on SYFY or the streamers yet, but Variety does report that the 10-episode first season is currently in its last week of production and is targeted at a summer release date on the cable network.
