Darby Harper Wants You To Know, Hulu’s upcoming supernatural feature, has just started production and has an impressive cast.

According to The Wrap, Riele Downs (Henry Danger), Auli’i’ Cravalho (Moana), Asher Angel (Shazam), Chosen Jacobs (aka Mike Hanlon in IT: Chapters One and Two) and Derek Luke (Captain America: The First Avenger) are starring in the project, which centers on haunted high school student Darby Harper.

Downs (pictured above) will be playing Darby. She is taking over the lead role from Storm Reid after the latter had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict.

After a near-death experience as a young child, Darby can now see dead people and has created a side-hustle where she counsels local spirits. The film will focus on an “unexpected occurrence” between Darby and Capri, the most popular girl in high school, that ultimately leads to Darby helping Capri out—and becoming more in touch with the land of the living along the way.

The film will be directed by Silas Howard and the original script comes from Wenonah Wilms and Becca Greene. We don’t know yet who the other cast members will be playing, and we don’t know when the movie will premiere on Hulu.

From what we do know, it sounds like it will be a fun watch: the premise is interesting, the cast is full of strong talent, and Howard has also directed nine episodes of Dickinson. What’s not to like?
