Like watching classic cartoons and playing trivia games? If so, Cat Burglar may be just the show for you. The Netflix Tex Avery-inspired cartoon comes from the creators of Black Mirror, and how things pan out for Rowdy Cat as he tries to steal past Peanut the Security Pup depends on how well you answer a variety of trivia questions.

While the average run time for each episode is fifteen minutes, there’s over an hour and a half of cartoon content, so you can have several different viewings of Cat Burglar depending on how well you answer the questions that pop up at the bottom of the screen.

If you answer wrong too many times, Rowdy Cat ends up dead in several unique ways. If you answer correctly, Rowdy Cat successfully steals from the museum Peanut is guarding. It sounds similar to the Netflix show Bandersnatch in that it’s interactive, and even has the same interactive producer, Russell McLean, on board.

Bandersnatch was more of a choose your own adventure format, however, while Cat Burglar seems more streamlined in that what happens simply depends on many trivia questions you get right or wrong. The show is created by Charlie Booker and was written by Mike Hollingsworth and James Bowman (BoJack Horseman, Tuca & Bertie). James Adomian voices Rowdy Cat while Alan Lee voices Peanut. Voice actor Trevor Devall is also in the show as the Museum Director.

Want to check the show out and/or test your trivia skills? Cat Burglar drops on Netflix on February 22, 2022.
