Space Force, the show with an impressive roster of comedic actors, has a second season coming on February 18, and today we got a trailer that gives us a peek of what to expect in the upcoming episodes.

The trailer, which you can watch below, is full of jokes, reminding us that this is a funny show, gosh darn it! In it, we see Steve Carell once again as General Mark R. Naird, the military officer charged with putting “boots on the moon” in the show’s first season. The premise of Season Two is a bit different, however—much like in our own world, there is a new Presidential Administration, and now the Space Force crew have four months to prove that the military branch is worth keeping around.

The first season of Space Force wasn’t received well critically and didn’t reach the popularity that one would expect from Carell and the show’s other creator, Greg Daniels of The Office and Parks and Recreation fame. Daniels’ U.S. version of The Office didn’t fare well its first season either, however, so there’s hope that the show will find its footing in the second season.

I’m cautiously optimistic that will happen—the show has a lot of amazing talent behind it. In addition to Carell, the show stars John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Jimmy O. Yang, Lisa Kudrow, and at least a cameo from Patton Oswalt, according to the trailer.

You can check out Season Two of Space Force when it premieres on Netflix on February 18, 2022.
