We already knew that the second season of Star Trek: Picard is coming our way this February on Paramount+ (maybe) and now it looks like we’ll get an original audio drama in the Picard world to go with it.

The audio drama, titled Star Trek Picard: No Man’s Land, will have Michelle Hurd and Jeri Ryan voicing their respective characters Raffi and Seven of Nine. Here’s a synopsis of the audio drama’s plot, according to StarTrek.com:

“No Man’s Land begins in the immediate aftermath of the stunning season one conclusion of Picard. While Seven of Nine and Raffi are enjoying some much needed R&R in Raffi’s remote hideaway, their downtime is interrupted by an urgent cry for help: a distant, beleaguered planet has enlisted the Fenris Rangers to save an embattled evacuation effort. As Seven and Raffi team up to rescue a mysteriously ageless professor, whose infinity-shaped talisman has placed him in the deadly sights of a vicious Romulan warlord, they take tentative steps to explore the attraction depicted in the final moments of Picard season one.”

Kirsten Beyer—the co-creator, writer and producer of the Picard television series—penned the audio drama with Star Trek comic book writer Mike Johnson. Ryan and Hurd are also joined by an impressive voice acting cast including Fred Tatasciore (AKA Lt. Shaxs on Star Trek: Lower Decks), John Kassir (best known as the Cryptkeeper on HBO’s Tales from the Crypt), and John Cutmore-Scott.

The audio drama is also fully produced and replete with sound effects (Explosions! Lasers!) on par with those you’d hear on the Picard television show. If the story piques your interest, you can pre-order the audio drama here so you’ll get it immediately when it becomes available on February 22, 2022.
