There are a lot of TV shows coming out in the last few weeks of this year. Like, a lot. But don’t let the final season of Netflix’s wonderful, underrated Lost in Space get lost in the shuffle. The Robinsons aren’t just lost; they’re separated. The robot menace is bigger than ever. Everything seems bigger than ever in this new trailer, which suggests the show—once a fairly intimate story about am extremely messy stranded family—wants to go out with a massive bang.

But also this needs more Judy.

The official synopsis says:

Goliath

Goliath

In the third and final season of Lost in Space, the stakes are higher than ever and the Robinson family’s survival instincts will be put to the ultimate test. After a year of being trapped on a mysterious planet, Judy, Penny, Will and the Robot must lead the 97 young Colonists in a harrowing evacuation — but not before secrets are unearthed that will change their lives forever. Meanwhile John and Maureen — with Don at their side — must battle overwhelming odds as they try to reunite with their kids. The Robinsons will have to grapple with the emotional challenge of not just being lost — but being separated from the ones they love… as they face the greatest alien threat yet.

A whole year they’ve been separated! Whew. Both this trailer and the first teaser lean hard on the family’s emotional distress, and on the relationship between Will Robinson (Maxwell Jenkins) and his robot friend. “He wants something from Will,” super-smart science mom Maureen Robinson (Molly Parker) says. “He always has.” Super sad space dad John Robinson (Toby Stephens) and Maureen and the rest of the grownups will have to face their guilt about sending their kids off to save them, but clearly that hasn’t solved the threat: the robots are seemingly everywhere.

Lost in Space embarks on its eight-episode final journey on December 1st.
