Well, HELLO. Ever since the end of The Mandalorian‘s season two finale, we’ve known two things about The Book of Boba Fett: that it exists, and that it would premiere in December 2021. As of this morning, we know a tiny bit more—Boba Fett arrives on Disney+ on December 29th, just squeaking in to this year.

Disney announced the premiere date with a poster and a new Twitter account, @BobaFett, which is much funnier than they probably intended. We’re going to tweet at Boba all the time now. Hey @BobaFett, who should I be for Halloween? @BobaFett, what are you having for dinner? @BobaFett what does the inside of a sarlacc smell like?

The poster is neat but is nothing we haven’t seen before; it’s the same as the end-credits scene that teased the show’s existence. But no one is complaining! It’s only three months until Boba Fett!

The Book of Boba Fett stars Temuera Morrison as the beloved bounty hunter, and Ming-Na Wen will return as Fennec Shand.  The series is executive produced by Mandalorian creator John Favreau, Star Wars TV mastermind Dave Filoni, and Robert Rodriguez, but we know almost nothing else about it—not who will direct, or who else will star.

It’s fine, though. It’s about Boba Fett. We’re good.
