Netflix’s Locke & Key Season Two Teaser Is Vague and Creepy

Netflix’s Locke & Key was renewed for a second season in March of last year—and is finally almost here. The teaser features a lot of dialogue that could’ve come from just about any fantastic property, but presumably not everyone is out there forging demonic-looking keys that undoubtedly unlock something that should stay locked up.

The series is based on the comics by writer Joe Hill and artist Gabriel Rodriguez, and follows the children of the recently murdered Randall Locke as they move to his ancestral home and begin to discover its secrets. Tyler (Connor Jessup), Kinsey (Emilia Jones) and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott) find that the house is home to magical keys—and that they are not the only ones interested in said keys.

Netflix’s summary for season two simply says, “With danger lurking closer than they know, Tyler, Kinsey and Bode unlock more family secrets as they dig deeper into the power and mystery of the keys.”

The first season largely adapted the comics’ first three volumes, Welcome to Lovecraft, Head Games, and Crown of Shadows, leaving three more volumes in this story arc to serve as material for the next part of the series: Keys to the Kingdom, Clockworks and Alpha & Omega.

Locke & Key returns to Netflix on October 22nd.
