HBO Max took over a couple of DC Universe’s live action shows, Titans and Doom Patrol, and now, they’re comfortably at home on the streaming platform. Titans just debuted its third season last month, and later this month, the third season of Doom Patrol will follow it.
To get fans ready, the network has released a new trailer for the superhero team-up series, introducing the big storyline for this upcoming season: A time traveler with a dire warning about the future.
Doom Patrol follows an outcast team of superheroes, including Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro), Cyborg (Joivan Wade), Negative Man (Matt Bomer and Matthew Zuk), and Robotman (Brendan Fraser and Riley Shanahan), as well as Chief (Timothy Dalton) as they’ve gotten in and out of various calamities.
In the first season, they had to save the Chief when he was captured by Mr. Nobody (Alan Tudyk), and last season, they had to deal with the Chief’s daughter Dorothy and an entity that she accidentally summoned into their world.
This coming season brings a new challenge: as they’re dealing with the consequences of last season, a time traveler (played by Michelle Gomez) warns of a new threat—the Brotherhood of Evil, and the Sisterhood of Dada. There’s weird butt monsters, time travel, psychedelic unicorns, drugs, and quite a bit more in store for the team.
The season debuts on HBO Max on September 23rd.
