Of Course Paddington Should Be In Every Movie

Is this not what the internet is for? Reddit user JaytheChou has taken on a noble project, the focus of which is clear in their post topics: “I photoshop Paddington into another movie every day until I forget.” JaytheChou has not forgotten for 28 days now, rendering appropriately scaled Paddington a bystander in the battle between ape and lizard; having him join the Justice League; giving Chewie a lil’ buddy at a certain award ceremony (an honor far greater than any medal); and adding another member to the WandaVision fam.

Paddington, the marmalade-loving scamp voiced by perfect human Ben Whishaw, is an understated fellow with a painfully optimistic creed: “If we are kind and polite, the world will be right.” Alas, my ursine friend, it isn’t always so. But spending two hours with a bear who thinks this way—even when he goes to prison and learns to cook from Brendan Gleeson—is one of the most delightful ways to while away an evening.

Paddington will return before too long, in Paddington 3, but Paddington 2 is a perfect movie, and Paddington in other movies is a perfect quest. Paddington playing the role of the xenomorph, cuddled up to Sigourney Weaver! Paddington on Asgard! Paddington teamed up with Lee Pace in The Fall! Truly the possibilities are endless. May it be many days before JaytheChou forgets.
