The first teaser is here for Zack Snyder’s other 2021 release, Army of the Dead, in which a group of mercenaries venture into a zombie-infested Las Vegas to pull off not just any old heist, but—per the very brief synopsis—”the greatest heist ever attempted.”

Heists, of course, are never simply “done,” always “pulled off,” and clearly this one isn’t going to go off without some undead shenanigans.

Army of the Dead stars perpetual action man Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Raúl Castillo, Michael Cassidy, and Garret Dillahunt—and Tig Notaro is in there somewhere too. This teaser really is just a tease, a series of dramatic zombie images with only a single line of dialogue that tells us absolutely nothing about the story. But really, what’s to tell? There’s a pile of money. The thieves want it. The zombies are in the way. The bright pink, extremely poppy credits suggest this might actually be… fun?

Netflix is so hyped on Snyder’s film that it has already decided to do a prequel movie and and anime spinoff seriesArmy of the Dead: Lost Vegas. The prequel will focus on Matthias Schweighöfer’s character, Ludwig Dieter, and Schweighöfer will direct.

But first, Army of the Dead arrives on Netflix on May 21st.
