Spend New Year’s Eve Chilling With Sabrina Spellman

The charming Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is back, though not in time for Halloween. In July, it was announced that Netflix had cancelled the show, but the fourth part was already filmed—and is set to begin streaming on New Year’s Eve. Ringing in 2021 with Sabrina and friends as they face off against some Eldritch Terrors? Seems a fitting way to close out this year.

“We have never faced a peril such as this,” Ambrose Spellman says, worriedly, in this teaser. Here’s the part four synopsis:

The Eldritch Terrors will descend upon Greendale. The coven must fight each terrifying threat one-by-one (The Weird, The Returned, The Darkness to name a few), all leading up to…The Void, which is the End of All Things. As the witches wage war, with the help of The Fright Club, Nick begins to slowly earn his way back into Sabrina’s heart, but will it be too late?

(If you are of a certain age, you may be thinking “So they’re going to have to fight the Nothing from The Neverending Story?” If you thought that, you are not alone.)

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina began in 2018 as a companion show to Riverdale, but there’s been no substantial crossover action between the shows and their stars (though Sabrina visits Riverdale in part three, and secondary characters have appeared on both shows). Will these Eldritch Terrors keep their rampaging confined to Greendale? Really? We’ll find out in two months.
