New-Gen comic covers #1-3

The cast of Marvel’s upcoming animated show is getting two big additions. According to Deadline, Lena Headey and Luke Wilson will be joining the voice cast of New-Gen.

Marvel’s animated series will revolve around two brothers who gain new abilities after getting specialized nanotechnology in their system. They’ll try to use their superpowers to save the day and the world of New-Gen. While we don’t how much experience they’ll need before they’re ready to stand toe-to-toe with Iron Man, we know the voice talent behind the brothers have plenty of experience being family.

Finn Wolfhard and his actual brother Nick Wolfhard will play the main roles. Lena Headey will play Thea, who will tell the future while leading the Association of the Protection of New-Gen. And last but certainly not least, Luke Wilson will play Roboduck. Unlike his character in Stargirl, he’ll have actual superpowers this time around! On the animated show, he’ll be able to *read notes* send fire at his enemies with burps. Cool.

Although this animated series doesn’t have a network or release date yet, we know that the creators are planning to release 13 episodes. The news of Headey and Wilson’s casting along with the likely chemistry between the lead brothers make this project one worth waiting for. Hopefully Marvel’s other animated series like M.O.D.O.K. can keep us entertained until we get more news on Next-Gen.
