The CW’s sixth annual Arrowverse cross-over event is set to be the most ambitious one yet. Thus far, the 5-episode Crisis on Infinite Earths includes five Arrowverse shows, two Supermen (including one played by Brandon Routh), one Burt Ward cameo, and one future Bruce Wayne as played by Kevin Conroy, the long-time voice of Batman. Now the Arrowverse is getting one show bigger, because Black Lightning is crossing over for the very first time.

As io9 reported, Cress Williams (who plays the titular superhero) confirmed the news himself on Instagram. Over the weekend, he uploaded a screenshot of a We Got This Covered headline reporting on rumors of Black Lightning characters appearing in Crisis on Infinite Earths. “You asked for it…you got it!!! #blacklightning#crisisoninfiniteearths#getlit,” he wrote in the caption.

It’s not clear which characters besides Williams’ Jefferson Pierce will be showing up in the cross-over event, but we do know it won’t just be him. As io9 reported, the Crisis on Infinite Earths news dropped during the Television Critic Association’s press tour confirmed that there will definitely be characters, plural. They’ll be joining characters from ArrowBatwomanSupergirlThe Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will begin airing December 2019 and conclude in January 2020. Black Lightning season 3 premieres October 21.
