Sam J. Miller and Annalee Newitz Win the 2019 Campbell and Sturgeon Awards!

Congratulations are in order for the winners of the 2019 Campbell and Sturgeon awards, which were announced at the Campbell Conference Award Ceremony on June 28, 2019. For his novel Blackfish City, Sam J. Miller won the John W. Campbell Memorial Award for best science fiction novel of 2018, and for their short story “When Robot and Crow Saved East St. Louis” (Slate), Annalee Newitz won the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award for best short science fiction of 2018.
