When one looks in the box, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the cat.

“And so it begins,” Ozymandias (Jeremy Irons) intones in the first look at HBO’s Watchmen, but he could easily have been talking about the brief glimpse of Game of Thrones’ eighth and final season, also included in the HBO video. All told, the teaser runs barely over a minute and encapsulates a half-dozen series premiering in 2019, but the Game of Thrones moment looks like a significant one.

First, watch the teaser for yourself:

It would appear that Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen made it to Winterfell without much issue—and not much opposition from Sansa Stark, who looks less-than-thrilled to inform Dany that “Winterfell is yours.”

And how about Watchmen? We’re not sure if those yellow-masked people are supposed to be some sort of Rorschach cult à la V for Vendetta, or why Rorschach himself seems to have holes in his mask… but Irons as Adrian Veidt looks appropriately imposing.

Game of Thrones will premiere sometime in April (HBO is still being coy about the exact date), while Watchmen does not have a premiere date, or even month, set.
