The 2018 Goodreads Choice Awards continue apace! Following the close of the Opening Round, the semifinalists have been determined in each category, with more than a few write-ins including John Scalzi’s The Consuming Fire, Mary Robinette Kowal’s The Calculating Stars, Catherynne M. Valente’s Space Opera, Brandon Sanderson’s Skyward, and Melissa Albert’s The Hazel Wood.
