In The Ruin of Kings, Jenn Lyons’ debut epic fantasy, Kihrin is a bastard orphan who grew up on storybook tales of long-lost princes and grand quests. When he is claimed against his will as the long-lost son of a treasonous prince, Kihrin finds that being a long-lost prince isn’t what the storybooks promised. Read the first two chapters here.

We are excited to announce the narrators for the audiobook edition of the first installment in The Godslayer Cycle: Vikas Adam (Kihrin), Feodor Chin (Thurvishar), and Soneela Nankani (Talon).

“When I found out who would be narrating The Ruin of Kings,” Lyons said, “I had two reactions: the first, professional—wow, these actors are amazing.—and the second, more geek-appropriate reaction—ZENYATTA IS NARRATING MY BOOK. (I suppose you might say I’m just a little excited.) I’m having a hard time imagining better voices than these.”

For those who play video games, Feodor Chin lends his voice to the omnic monk Zenyatta in “Overwatch,” Mudmug in “World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria,” and as Splinter in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.” His most recent audiobook is Ball Lightning by Cixin Liu, who also wrote The Three-Body Problem. He is a UCLA grad and UCB alum living in Los Angeles, CA.

Vikas Adam is a classically trained actor and narrator for over 100 audiobooks. In 2016, he won an Audie (think Oscars for the audiobook world) for his narration in Nice Dragons Finish Last by Rachel Aaron in the Fantasy category. Other narrations of Adam’s include Life of Pi by Yann Martel, Orson Scott Card’s The First Formic War series in The Enderverse, and Dakota Krout’s Divine Dungeon series. When he is not acting or providing his voice talents, he is a lecturer at UCLA in the School of Theater, Film, and Television department.

Soneela Nankani has her MFA in Acting from Columbia University and has a strong theatre background. She has worked with the Classical Theatre of Harlem and played Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Classic Stage Company. She is also the narrator of City of Brass by S. A. Chakraborty.

The Ruin of Kings is available February 5, 2019 from Tor Books and Macmillan Audio.
