The Horror Writers Association have announced the winners of the 2017 Bram Stoker Awards. The presentation of awards took place at the third annual StokerCon, held March 1-4 in Providence, Rhode Island.

“We are excited to announce this year’s winners from another impressive list of finalists,” HWA President Lisa Morton said in the official announcement. “The winners represent a broad spectrum of highly talented writers devoted to horror and dark fantasy. Our members and awards juries have demonstrated considerable dedication and objectivity to the selection process for outstanding works of literature, cinema, non-fiction, and poetry.”

Named in honor of the author of Dracula, the Bram Stoker Awards are given in celebration of horror writing in eleven categories, including novels, novellas, poetry, and screenplays. Previous winners include Stephen King, J.K. Rowling, George R. R. Martin, and Neil Gaiman.
