The Cloverfield Paradox teaser trailer Cloverfield 3 God Particle

Eat your heart out, This Is Us: Directly following the Super Bowl, fans of J.J. Abrams’ Cloverfield series will be able to watch the third film, The Cloverfield Paradox, on Netflix. Click through for the intriguing teaser trailer!

Alternately known as God Particle and Cloverfield 3, this movie has been under wraps since it was announced years ago. All we knew was that it took place on a space station, and was related to some sort of strange goings-on on Earth. If you go to the Netflix home page, you’ll find The Cloverfield Paradox is prominently featured, with a message that users can watch it after the Super Bowl ends. There’s also an official, if vague, synopsis:

When their mission descends into chaos, she must be willing to sacrifice everything for the world left behind.

The “she” must be Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s character, begging someone to “stop.”

Director Ava DuVernay, who worked with Mbatha-Raw in A Wrinkle in Time, also tweeted about the movie, praising its diverse cast and crew and the lack of advance advertisement:
