Roger Rabbit and Shadow

Moviemaker and Youtuber Kaptain Kristian Williams took a few minutes to break down exactly why Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is a brilliant film. We all know that the combination of live-action and animation is practically seamless, and created a three-dimensional, believable Toon world, but have you ever thought about how? Williams shows how it all comes down to a dedication to eye-lines between the characters, and, just as important, creating consistent shadows. But best of all, he talks about how a particular scene in the film gave animators a whole new way to describe greatness: bumping the lamp. Click through and be amazed!

Let’s all try to bump the lamp in our own lives!
