For $10 A Night, You Can Stay in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Lair

New York City is home to many wonders, but I think city-dwellers always assumed that the lair of four mutated, martial-arts-wielding gigantic turtle brothers was just pretend.

On the other hand, it’s New York City. We should know better.

It turns out that the turtle lair exists in Tribeca! And while it’s currently booked up on AirBnb, when it’s open, you and your family can stay there for only ten bucks a night. (Plus, you get free pizza and swag, so it kind of evens out that way.) The lair comes complete with its own basketball court, themed graffiti, and arcade.

While the main spaces are decked out in true turtle fashion, the bedrooms are a bit more sedate–the kid’s rooms are still on theme, of course.

To be clear, this is definitely a space meant for families and not crazy parties; the rules stipulate no extra guests and no alcohol. It’s a super smart publicity gamut being run by the makers of the TMNT films—you can follow the @TMNTMovie account on Twitter, and they’ll let you know when the Turtles vacate their sweet digs again.

But because it’s not all about the movies, they also donate money to charity for every guest: “For every guest that stays, we’ll donate some dough in their name to PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. Together we can shell shock bullying, cause that’s what bros do.”

Aww. Bros.
